JOB PURPOSE
To ensure ROCKWOOL mineral wool insulations are specified in key projects across the various territories through close working relationships with major architectural firms as well as consulting/engineering companies.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience in building material specification management within the construction industry. Knowledge of construction materials, standards, and specifications. Understanding of architectural and engineering principles. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. Proficient in relevant software and tools

JOB DESCRIPTION
Material Specification Management:
1) Lead the development and maintenance of accurate and comprehensive building material specifications along with GBI Specification Manager
2) Stay current with industry trends, standards, and regulations to ensure all specifications align with the latest requirements.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
1) Work closely with the GBI specification manager, product development and engineering teams to understand the technical aspects of building materials and provide input on product improvements.
2) Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote specified products and address customer inquiries.
Engagement with External Partners:
1) Build and nurture relationships with developers, engineers, consultants and other key influencers (JKR) in the construction industry.
2) Provide technical support to external partners during the specification and bidding processes.
Training and Education:
1) Conduct training sessions for external stakeholders on the proper use and application of specified building materials.
2) Stay informed about new product developments and convey this information to relevant parties.
Project Support:
1) Work closely with developers, engineers, consultants in resolving specification-related issues and challenges.
2) Monitor projects to ensure compliance with specified materials and address any deviations promptly.
Documentation and Reporting:
1) Maintain detailed records of specifications, project details, and customer interactions.
Generate regular reports on specification activities, market trends, and competitor analysis.
Project Management
1) Continual identification of new projects at design/conceptual stage either through field contacts or project tracking services;
2) Developing projects in the upstream pipeline through specification work and monitoring until successfully specified and tendered out before handing project follow up responsibilities to the relevant sales managers;
