Job Title: Fabrication Supervisor

Location: Due to a promotion in our team, we are recruiting for a Fabrication Supervisor to join our Operations team at our factory in Pencoed, South Wales. The successful candidate will be required to work a 4 shift pattern.

Your Future Team:

Reporting into the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision and management of a team of operators within the Fabrication department, and ensuring that ROCKWOOL products are fabricated per the technical specifications.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring that products are being manufactured in accordance to the agreed specifications and in-line with the order requirements
• Maintaining production costs to within budget, with a focus on achieving set KPI’s
• Actively taking part in continuous improvement activities looking at ways of reducing costs and improving efficiencies
• Ensuring that the Fabrication shift operate in accordance with ISO9000
• Maintaining compliance with the relevant environmental regulations and company targets, with any issues being raised to the Environmental Manager
• Driving good housekeeping standards in all areas of the department
• Ensuring the shift follow all Health & Safety regulations and guidelines to minimise the risk of any accidents that could cause an injury
• Preparing shift reports giving an accurate overview of key figures and highlighting any issues during the shift
• Managing the Fabrication shift in-line with the Union Agreement
• Ensuring that quality checks are undertaken and the correct NCR procedure is undertaken when needed
• Identifying areas of weakness in the shift and developing the operators to improve performance, and to aid with future succession planning

What you bring:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
• Relevant qualifications for the role (IOSH/NEBOSH etc.)
• Previous management/supervision experience
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• A proactive, hands on approach to leadership
• Previous experience with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
