Your Future Team:
You will be part of our Sustainable Melting Team.
The team delivers industrialized Melting plants to ROCKWOOL factories trough out the World and technical solutions to our factories stretching from upgrades and repairs to complete melting plants in new-build factories.
We have expertise in mechanical, electrical, automation and process engineering as well as project management.
What you will be doing:
As Electrical Engineer in Sustainable Melting you participate in all phases of projects, from initial specifications and design to test, commissioning and after service. Your assignments can vary from small machine deliveries and support cases to participation in large "Green field" factory projects on a global scale – mainly in Europe, Asia and North America.
You work with electrical design within one or more of these areas
- MV and LV power distribution
- Process control system layout/design/dimensioning
- Electrical panels
- Safe functions
- Test planning/strategy
You execute electrical implementation from initial phase to hand-over including planning, coordination within the team and external suppliers and you secure the quality of the deliveries and the electrical documentation package.
Besides acting in various projects, you will be driving improvement initiatives within electrical design of ROCKWOOL melting plants
Last but not least you will participate in making the department an inspiring and rewarding place to work by sharing knowledge, support your colleagues in their professional growth and participate in developing and executing department strategies.
Although your new desk will be located in the Nowy Rynek building in central Poznań, Poland, you will often travel primarily in Europe but could also be around North America and Asia – mostly to meet with colleagues and suppliers and to supervise the implementation of your projects. You can expect to travel 60-80 days per year, with trips varying from just a couple of days to a few weeks at a time. Know, however, that you will rarely be alone.

Furthermore, we expect you to bring:
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant background
5+ years of proven experience preferably within electrical design and building of manufacturing plants providing highly automated high-volume production
Experience with Electrical design and documentation in CAD software. Preferably in ePlan.
A technically well versed personality that enjoys technical analysis and problem-solving sometimes involving advanced processes and complex regulated systems
Ability to communicate efficiently in English to international colleagues across all levels in the organisation – additional language skills are an advantage
Experience within electrical design for high power applications for e.g. heavy industries is an advantage.
