Rockfon is looking for a Senior Project Engineer for the Grids and Accessories Business Unit who is going to manage, drive and implement projects from A to Z within the acoustical ceiling industry. In this role, your main responsibility is to take full ownership of project from initiation at the beginning to the final implementation phase and being the interface between the different stakeholders (Operations, Design, R&D, Supply Chain, Maintenance).

Lead (and contribute to) innovation research, studies and development of new products (including feasibility, technical drawings, prototyping etc);
Lead (and contribute to) R&D improvements project (product upgrades, raw material changes) and deal with implementation & industrialization topics;
Team up with factory production engineers to bring those innovations into reality (you will assist to the first production run to gather feedback and decide for R&D actions to improve the next run);
Be the point of contact and guarantee coordination between the different stakeholders involved in the projects, internally (Engineering & Maintenance, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality) and externally (suppliers, subcontractors, testing/certification labs) during all stages of the project;
Escalate and seek support from the management or/and innovation team in case of project deviation/change;
Look for continuous improvement in all processes and methodologies;
Present projects to the business unit Grid and Innovation board and recommend go/hold/change/stop decisions based on deep analysis/prototyping/testing;
Collect and asses customer needs and analyze the technical constraints of the projects assigned and propose solution scenario.

Master degree in a technical study, e.g. electromechanical, mechanical automation, building physics or similar education;
Strong project management skills in complex projects (5+ years’ experience), preferably in R&D or Industrial environments;
Ability to read and update product drawings (Solid Works/CAD) and able to use project management tools, such as MS Project);
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) and good command skills in Dutch is preferred;
Ability to develop project execution plans, mobilize and structure ad-hoc resources in different engineering fields and project support;
Continuous improvement mindset and can easily identify gaps to the project strategy and propose solutions.
