Mirella Vitale, Senior Vice President for Group Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs, receives prestigious Italian knighthood honour in recognition of her achievements within international business.

Mirella Vitale received the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in a dignified event at the Italian Ambassador’s residence in Copenhagen. On behalf of the President of the Italian Republic, Ambassador Luigi Ferrari bestowed the honour upon Mirella.

According to Ambassador Luigi Ferrari, “Mirella Vitale has led a distinguished career in international business – in Italy, Spain, and now Denmark. She represents the best of her company and our country. Mirella has contributed immensely to creating stronger social, political, and business ties between Italy and Denmark, and it is a privilege for me, on behalf of the President of the Italian Republic, to bestow this high honour upon Mirella”.

Mirella joined ROCKWOOL as Senior Vice President for Marketing, Communications, and Public Affairs in 2016. In this position, Mirella has been instrumental in driving our marketing and branding efforts as well as building our sustainability agenda.

Mirella says, “As an Italian working internationally, it is a humbling experience to be awarded this honour. I have been fortunate throughout my life both personally and professionally to have the support of my family and colleagues. Though it is not always easy living and working abroad, I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. I am grateful to Ambassador and Mrs. Ferrari for their kindness and generosity of spirit, and for making me feel so much at home here in their home”.
