IT Project Manager for Digital Transformation
ROCKWOOL Group are looking for a IT Project Manager to join their IT department. This role is permanent and is based in Bridgend, Wales.
Are you a strong project manager with solid experience within IT projects, superb stakeholder management and digital transformation? And do you thrive with varying workloads – especially around peak periods?
Then we offer a permanent role for an energetic IT Project Manager who understands technical implementations, the lifecycle of an implementation project including requirements, workshops, training and go live, and has worked with implementation consultants/suppliers, allocating resources, planning and looking at scope, risk and creep.

This Is Who We Are
As our new IT project manager, you will join a project management team with 10 co-workers with a varied set of experiences, competencies and skill sets within project management.
Our PMO is divided in two parts, you will be part of the business projects delivery team where we deliver big business solutions for all of ROCKWOOL, ranging from commerce solutions to supply chain, support and customer service – just to name a few.
Our team is located globally in Hedehusene (DK), Poznan (PL), Kuala Lumpur (MY) and Bridgend, Wales, though we still manage to maintain a good team spirit across borders. We have a wide range of experience internally in the team, and we take pride in our great cooperation.
This is the role
Your main focus will be leading IT pilot and/or roll-out projects within ROCKWOOL OPCOs and support the whole delivery process from initial planning to execution and closure, together with your allocated project-team of dedicated and experienced team members.
This will include project definition, scoping, reporting and financial planning. An area of responsibility will also be ensuring that all project deliverables are delivered within the agreed time, cost and quality tolerances.
Overall, your responsibilities can be defined by leading, planning, executing, reporting and evaluating with more concrete tasks such as:
Daily management of your project team, including resource administration, general follow-up on deliveries and handling of personal and professional issues
Collaborating with management and based on assignment refining the scope of the project
Creating a detailed project plan which identifies the activities and resources needed to successfully complete the project
Reviewing the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis, ensuring that it meets the project standards
Completing ongoing project status reports and meeting with the steering group

You have tried a few IT projects already were your sense for negotiation and relationship management came in handy.
You are excellent at and have a natural flair for analysing situations, and with your competent communication skills, you lead the team or stakeholders in the right direction as stakeholder and group management is no stranger to you and your proactive approach.
Furthermore, We Imagine That You
have 5+ years’ experience with project management (essential)
write and speak English fluently (essential)
offer strong senior stakeholder management skills (essential)
have experience with running IT projects (essential)
as a minimum hold a Prince2 Foundation certificate or PMI certification (desirable)
Have an bachelor or master degree preferably within IT but could also be business administration. (desirable)
