Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Manager has full responsibility for the processes in Factory Maintenance across all key metrics; Safety & Environment, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost, and Morale. The Maintenance Manager has the ultimate responsibility of developing and implementing processes in maintenance in accordance to Group best practices. As a member of the Site Leadership Team, the Maintenance Manager leads the entire maintenance department to achieve all company goals and metrics and oversees the overall development of the department and its employees. The Maintenance Department is comprised of maintenance planners, electricians, mechanics, facilities, project management, and the MRO team.
What are the responsibilities of a Maintenance Manager?
Oversee and lead an effective maintenance program that allows for consistent equipment availability and minimizes impact on production.
Work closely with operations team and planners to determine equipment time, parts, and tools necessary for scheduled work orders and outages.
Developing and managing the maintenance processes to gain tangible business improvements and Key Performance Factors (KPF) that address performance levels in the maintenance organization: Planned and Scheduled Work Completion Rate, Maintenance Overtime, Preventative Maintenance wrench time as a Percentage of Total Work and Emergency Repairs as a Percentage of Scheduled Hours
Drive improvements based on the ROCKWOOL Operational Excellence program (ROPEX) in Maintenance. The Maintenance Manager sets the standards and targets for Maintenance, from strategic planning to execution of kaizens and improvement initiatives to follow-up on implementation and results.
Provide training and coaching in systematic, root cause problem solving and facilitate complex problem solving as needed.
Coordinate and execute training of new initiatives with the maintenance team.
Accountable for all budgetary items within the maintenance area of responsibility.
This is what you offer:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, technical or trade school certification or equivalent required.
7+ years’ practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment working with automated equipment required.
Welding, hydraulic, pneumatic and conveying systems experience required.
Proficient knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)/Automation, specifically Siemens and Endress+Hauser instrumentation.
Act as a ROCKWOOL ambassador demonstrating our core values of Ambition, Integrity, Responsibility and Efficiency.
Profound understanding of the LEAN toolbox and LEAN principles including implementation experience with continuous improvement projects with proven success in results and cultural drive.
