ROCKWOOL Global Business Services (RGBS) in Poznań is a multifunctional competence centre of the ROCKWOOL Group (with the headquarters in Denmark), which provides wide scope of services including financial, IT (DIGITAL), engineering, and HR services for group entities.

Each department within GT is responsible for its own area or part of the equipment, and at our factory in Cigacice, Poland you will join the Waste Handling team within our Hot End, Fluids, Waste & Abatement department. Here 10 dedicated colleagues design and specify new equipment and technical solutions that are used in the stone wool production, and joining us, you will be working with the production of waste equipment.

This is the role
Focusing on waste equipment, you will be our expert on – and key provider of – design solutions. You will be working on projects varying in both size and scope, taking responsibility for design, specification, time, budget and quality.
Throughout a varied workday, you will take an active hand in all phases of the projects, fiddling with the design to get it just right, making drawings, getting the right components and traveling to supervise implementation on-site.
More specifically, it will be up to you to:
Participate in small machine delivery projects as well as support large international green field factory projects
Analyse production equipment needs and production challenges
Produce mechanical designs for specific equipment
Communicate with suppliers of our equipment to place orders and follow up to secure compliance with specific design needs
Travel up to 100 days per year to Europe, North America, Russia and beyond to supervise implementations on-site, as well as to support and collaborate with international colleagues
Partake in budgeting and the development of tender material for suppliers

Moreover, we imagine that you:
Have 5+ years of experience from a similar position, working with mechanical design, machine construction, design specifications and 3D modelling using Inventor or a similar programme
Preferably knowledge, experience in engineering or maintaining of bulk material handling equipment (transport, storage, granulation, milling)
Knowledge about wear resistant materials
Hold a degree in mechanical engineering, and it is a great plus if you also have a background as a smith, mechanic or another type of craftsman
Have knowledge of equipment handling bulk material (transport, storage, granulation, milling)
Have knowledge about wear resistant materials
Are fluent in English
