Curing Technician Job Summary

Curing and cooling of stone wool is an instrumental part of our production process. Once wool leaves the curing oven it has been cooled in preparation for cutting based on the specification requirements of the end-product. We’re looking for a Curing Technician to schedule and preform regular maintenance, cleaning and repairs as needed to keep the production line up and running efficiently. In this role at ROCKWOOL you are part of a team running the production line to deliver with consistency, the high-quality finished product our customers have come to know and expect. Reporting to the shift Team Leader you safely and effectively operate, clean, troubleshoot and perform basic preventative maintenance to the machinery in the assigned area, focused on continuous improvement and operational uptime.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities of a Curing Technician?

· Directly responsible for overseeing the curing process, waste and certain aspects of quality, making adjustments per established procedures.

· Basic troubleshooting of equipment and act as a first line defense for process, mechanical and technical issues.

· Adhere to established quality and environmental standards to identify and mitigate/escalate quality or environmental risks/issues.

· Ensure volumes are produced and delivered against production plan and key performance indicators.

What skills and qualifications do you need for the role of a Curing Technician?

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Previous continuous flow manufacturing or industrial experience and working with automated equipment preferred.

· Grow and develop the team by sharing knowledge / experience.

· Demonstrated or proven:

o Organizational and analytical skills;

o Basic computer knowledge and skills;

The employee is occasionally required to hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, and smell.

The employee must frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 60 pounds and/or occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 120 pounds with another person, shovel heavy waste to shoulder height.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
