Facility Maintenance Technician Job Purpose & Scope
Responsible for performing routine to complex Facility Maintenance tasks. The position reports to the Ran5 Technical Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities & Job Content

  • Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment within the Technical Services Department responsibility scope.

  • Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems to include HVAC, Air Compressors, Boilers, Plumbing, Building Automation Systems, Fire Alarm System, Fire Suppression System, and additional equipment as needed.

  • Respond to emergency Facility Maintenance related situations.

  • Support any none scheduled work hours Facility Maintenance needs and activities as required.

  • Remain flexible to support any other Plant duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4 years of Facility or Industrial Maintenance experience.

  • Must possess Mechanical and Electrical skills and aptitude.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Experienced and skilled in operating windows based computers.

  • Proficient knowledge and willingness to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

  • Prior Building Automation System and/or Fire Alarm Systems experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skills both Mechanical and Electrical.

  • Must embrace change.

  • Be willing to travel for training. Possibly out of country.

The employee is occasionally required to hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, and smell.

The employee must frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 60 pounds and/or occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 120 pounds with another person, shovel heavy waste to shoulder height.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
