This is the role:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting with the quality management of products (Tile, GRID & Metal Ceilings) sold by RFN-NA to maximize customer satisfaction in product and service quality.  In addition, the Quality Engineer will champion continuous improvement across the organization through use of advanced quality tools, LEAN/ROPEX and other industry leading best practices as appropriate.  This position is based in Chicago but will have expanded responsibilities for quality of products produced by Tile and Grid factories in Chicago, Baltimore, Marshal County and Poland as well as 3rd party suppliers.

This is what you offer:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Quality or Mechanical related field for engineered products in high volume high mix manufacturing industry, preferably in Building Materials.

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering

  • Available and willing to travel as needed

  • Ability to apply quality system & problem solving concepts

  • Experience dealing with regulatory and testing agencies like UL, ICC-ES, Inter-Tek etc. is highly preferred.
