Position: Cold End Operator Role

This is the role:
The Cold End Operator reports directly to the Production Supervisor. The objective of this position will be to operate equipment in an effective and efficient manner according to company standards, specifications and policies. To produce quality mineral fibre insulation products within the Company’s parameters of Material Efficiency, Line Efficiency and Line Wool II. You must maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace without jeopardizing product quality or the environment. This position will be based out of our Byhalia, Mississippi location.
What you offer:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in machine set-up and computers.
Must have a good understanding in how equipment operates in order to clear equipment safely.
Good understanding of H+S requirements and works in a safe manner.
Self-motivated with the drive, commitment and high energy to motivate others.
Understanding key figures and how to maximize output.
Good people and training skills.
Protocol experience in trouble shooting equipment.
The ability to read and understand written instructions and product specification.
Successful completion of the six weeks training course.
Responsible for running of the Win CC controlled production line from the collection screen through to the packaging equipment including the recycle system. This includes but is not limited to:
Set-up and monitor labeling system for packing equipment for Batt Packer line, Autosealer, Bernis Bagger, Shrink-Wrap line.
Requires granulated waste wool when needed.
Operation of forklifts if qualified in a safe manner.
Maintain a clean, safe workplace.
Work in a safe manner and follow all established safety rules.
Inform next shift of any problems or tasks which you are aware of and needs attention.
Inform Supervisor if a person’s lock is unsafe to remove by the end of your shift so that it can be replaced by a supervisor lock.
Any other tasks as necessary or designated.
