This is the role:

The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. The objective of the Mechanical Maintenance Department is to provide a service for all company equipment and buildings within budgeted costs, to pursue plant improvements and to improve cost effectiveness. You will be responsible for providing a total maintenance service for all the equipment, buildings, and utilities according to the budgeted costs, to pursue plant improvements and to improve cost effectiveness.

You will also be responsible for all employees within the area of responsibility being familiar with, and working per, all health and safety requirements applicable in the area of responsibility, and working towards a continuous improvement of health and safety requirements. You are responsible for machinery and equipment operating in a safe and reliable manner at any time. This position will be based out of our Byhalia, Mississippi location.

Main Tasks

  • Ensures that the area of responsibility is manned efficiently and within budgets.
  • Ensures continued maintenance coverage for Tile Line operating hours as well as maintenance down periods.
  • Presents proposals for improvements of tools and methods to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Manages the area of responsibility according to applicable policies, procedures, safety and security rules and regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Responsible for training and instructing employees in such a way that they can competently and efficiently perform the functions of their job.
  • Responsible for ensuring employees work in a safe and reliable manner.
  • Responsible for development of employees within area of responsibility, to include cross training, performance management, corrective actions and succession planning.
  • Responsible for ensuring employees to RX-US policies and procedures as well as applicable legislative and regulatory laws.
  • Manages vacation calendars, payroll, daily shift meetings, front-line leadership meetings, HRIS system, including personnel records, and performance management, including disciplinary action and development of employees within scope of responsibility.
