Empowered to meet technical challenges

Providing operations with high-end technical solutions and ensuring continuous improvements, you will play an important role in our continued expansion worldwide. From day one, you will get responsibilities to engage in projects and help solve operational challenges. In our team-oriented environment, you will work among colleagues who are highly skilled and passionate about what they do. The variety of possibilities and the empowerment we provide, will allow you to grow and gain new experiences.

Would you like to be the leading specialist within electrical design in the ROCKWOOL Group – as well as an important sounding board to our production sites?
If you enjoy an international career with a good amount of travel, you can look forward to joining exciting projects for entire production lines where you will be technically responsible for the way we do our electrical design – all the way down to component level.

This is who we are
You will be part of Group Technology – part of the main organisation of ROCKWOOL International – where we create and deliver machines and production equipment as well as entire production lines for our international production sites. In this department, you will join Operational Technology & Electrical Project Management and 23 colleagues with strong engineering backgrounds within electrical design, automation technology and project management.

“We all take on an independent responsibility to deliver. We can only do so because we trust and empower each other to do what we do best as we are part of the entire development process – from initial idea to installation and maintenance of a final solution,” says Department Manager Flemming Schou.

This is the role
Based in either Hedehusene, Denmark, or Cigacice, Poland, you will be responsible for ensuring the ROCKWOOL standards within electrical design. This entails acting as project manager for smaller projects or ‘part project manager’ for larger projects, maneuvering between project management, commercial considerations and technical finesse.

As such, you are in charge of the way we carry out electrical design down to component level as you work on all phases of a project – from initial specifications and design to test, commissioning and after service. Your assignments can vary from small machine deliveries and support cases to participation in large "greenfield" factory projects on a global scale as you:
•    Ensure that QA is on point
•    Work with our external suppliers
•    Coordinate tasks and deliveries in relation to pricing, plan and budget
•    Assist Internal Sales on offers
•    Travel up to 80 days per year to projects at our production sites, visit sub suppliers or carry out factory acceptance tests in the US, Asia, Russia and within Europe

This is what you offer
As a person, you enjoy the technical detail and analysis of picking the right components, evaluating a design or solving a technical issue. You value quality in your deliveries and will thrive in a role where you will be the sounding board on all things related to electrical engineering across projects. This also calls for you to be able to communicate in an efficient manner with internal customers in the ROCKWOOL subsidiaries as well as colleagues.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:
•    Have a solid background within the area of electrical design combined with some years of experience
•    Are ready to manage smaller projects independently, managing tests and budget, while we help you develop your project management skills
•    Are fluent in English – additional language skills are a plus

This is what we offer
You will be part of an absolute key Group function, operating internationally and with the latest technology in the ROCKWOOL Group. You will get the chance to put your fingerprint on some of the core processes and projects worldwide, supporting our colleagues in the subsidiaries. Your new colleagues are helpful, professional and experienced experts. That will ensure you constant development of your professional and personal skills.
