Solutions to climate and energy challenges can come from surprising sources. That’s why ROCKWOOL is sponsoring the Nordic Clean Energy Week hackathon 'Clean Energy Hack' during which approx. 50 young people from around the world are competing today to generate winning solutions to real challenges facing multiple cities.
Students from multiple countries will work in teams to propose solutions to urban challenges ranging from mobility and resilience to smart data and energy and the built environment. An expert panel will select four finalists, with ROCKWOOL Senior Vice President Mirella Vitale presenting the award for the winning team at Sustainable Urban Solutions events on 23 May.
Commenting on the Hackathon, Mirella Vitale says, “We’re extremely keen to see the solutions the students come up with. You never know where the next great idea will come from, and we’re counting on a few workable solutions emerging from the collaboration today”.
ROCKWOOL is also participating in various other activities during the Nordic Clean Energy Week, including ones focusing on energy efficiency and with the C40 Cities and the International Energy Agency.
