THE ROLE – GLOBAL TECHNICAL SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are looking for a technically strong, commercially driven business developer to accelerate our growth within the global coatings and specialty chemicals industries.

This role goes beyond classic technical sales. You will act as a business developer, market shaper and strategic partner, identifying new growth opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships and driving the adoption of ROCKWOOL fibers across a broad range of coating technologies and specialty chemical applications.

You will operate in R&D-driven customer environments, working closely with formulation experts, innovation teams and decision-makers to shape new applications and long-term value propositions, in total we are with 80 colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow and manage a portfolio of global and strategic accounts within coatings and specialty applications
  • Develop new business opportunities and applications in close collaboration with customers and R&D
  • Drive market development and adoption of ROCKWOOL fiber solutions
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear, value-based customer propositions
  • Act as a strategic partner to customers across R&D, procurement and management
  • Contribute to innovation, portfolio development and go-to-market strategies
  • Represent ROCKWOOL Core Solutions at international customer meetings and industry events
  • Monitor market trends and report on pipeline, performance and forecasts

YOUR PROFILE

You are a technically savvy business developer with a strong affinity for specialty chemicals, advanced materials and R&D-driven innovation.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g. chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering)
  • Proven experience in B2B technical sales or business development within specialty chemicals, coatings or related industries
  • Strong understanding of formulation-driven markets and customer decision processes
  • Comfortable operating at the interface of R&D, commercial teams and senior stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership
  • Growth- and results-oriented, with the ability to spot and develop new opportunities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset fe Spanish
  • Willingness to travel internationally, mainly in Europe, America and Asia (approx. 35-40%).
