Production Manager

We are seeking a Production Manager based in our Byhalia, MS location.  The position must be flexible to work both day and night shifts.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
• Prior experience in Operations Management and/or Industrial Engineering
• 5+ years manufacturing production leadership experience
• Strong experience working with automated systems/conveyors.
• Experience managing production with multiple shifts.
• Demonstrated application of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Expert MS Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Project
• Excellent Leadership and Coaching skills.

What you will be doing:

•  Provide leadership to the production line by overseeing all aspects of operations including safety, quality, employee development, maintenance, and financial performance.
• Ensure efficient and profitable daily operations while driving the professional development of team members within your area.
• Manage the department in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and security protocols, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Oversee production scheduling to meet customer demands, cost targets, and quality standards, collaborating closely with Quality, Supply Chain, HR, and other departments.
• Promote effective team communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
• Identify, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production performance and financial outcomes.
• Maintain timely, accurate communication with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment across production management teams.
• Lead detailed production planning and schedule monitoring, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in processes, equipment, and employee development, including support for investment planning.
• Motivate and empower team members to contribute to ongoing improvements in efficiency, tools, and methods.
• Apply and analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) to validate and enhance operational performance.
• Accurately report key performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis in line with company standards.
• Maintain close communication with support teams including Maintenance and Quality to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure optimal staffing levels within budget to meet production needs.
• Monitor and address absenteeism, implementing proactive measures to improve attendance.
• Oversee onboarding, training, and ongoing competency development to ensure all employees perform their roles safely and effectively in accordance with Rockwool-NA policies and regulations.
• Conduct timely and effective performance reviews in accordance with company guidelines.
• Propose and advocate for improvements in production tools, systems, and methodologies
