We are seeking a Production Supervisor(Night Shift) based in our Ranson, WV factory to join the Operations team.
This position will work a 12-hour shift 6PM to 6AM 2-2-3 schedule.
Your future team:
Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and manages a team of around 15-20 employees.
What you will be doing:
Our Production Supervisors perform a variety of tasks from developing their team members into high-quality and efficient workers, to serving as the key connection between the production line and the factory leadership team. The Leadership team will be counting on you to uphold ROCKWOOL’s stone wool product standards while enforcing health and safety measures at our Ranson, West Virginia facility. We’re looking for someone with the leadership and people management experience needed to hit the ground running.
Safety of people and the environment:
Instilling a culture of safety first as part of a ‘zero safety incidents’ mentality in your area, analyzing and documenting failures and inefficiencies in the supply chain in order to improve overall supply chain effectiveness.
Avoid environmental issues during manufacturing operations through effective training and maintaining a ‘zero environmental’ incident approach to daily tasks.
Driving productivity and product quality:
Oversee the production team delivering on ROCKWOOL’s high-quality product standards with consistency and on time against productions plans, while maintaining accurate inventory levels all within the budgeted headcount for the area of responsibility.
Cost:
You own budget responsibilities for your area and will need to deliver the volumes within available budget while improving cost efficiencies over time through systematic Loss elimination (identify and eliminate losses):
Morale:
Build and grow a high-performance production team while ensuring succession planning is in place for your area of responsibility.
ROCKWOOL Operational Excellence (ROPEX):
Embed a culture of continuous improvement within your area of operation through effective problem solving and priority setting through strong daily management.
What you bring:
Technical Degree/Certification or equivalent experience required.
5+ years’ experience leading a team in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Ability to direct, manage, and coach the daily activities of a team of 15-20 employees.
Previous experience with proven technical ability in a continuous flow manufacturing or industrial environment and working with automated equipment required.
Grow and develop the team by sharing knowledge / experience.
