International Project Manager R&D

Rockfon is looking for an International Project Manager, who is going to lead, drive and implement international innovation projects within Rockfon. You will work according to the Rockfon Innovation Process, ensuring clear planning, strong collaboration, and timely execution. Your focus will span from initial project scoping to full implementation, including stakeholder alignment, product certification, sustainability, and process optimization.

Workplace: Roermond

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and execute R&D projects from concept to implementation following the Rockfon Innovation Roadmap;
• Develop structured project plans, conduct stakeholder mapping, and build high-performing project teams;
• Coordinate and guide trials, tests, and production validations with internal and external partners;
• Ensure all necessary certifications (mandatory and voluntary) are in place in close collaboration with the Certification, Quality, and Sustainability teams;
• Drive raw material development and test new materials with existing and new suppliers;
• Align with Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement to coordinate implementation of developed products;
• Improve and promote the use of Rockfon’s Innovation Process across the organisation.

What you bring

Essential:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field (e.g. Building Physics, Mechanical Engineering);
• 4-7 years of experience in project management, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment;
• Structured and well-organised with strong stakeholder management skills;
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken);
• A team player who works well across functions and cultures;
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately 50 days per year across Europe.

Desirable:

• Project management certification (e.g. Prince2, Agile);
• Experience in a production or R&D environment;
• Network of suppliers for fleeces or other raw materials.
