Based in Hedehusene, Denmark, you will join our BU Design and be part of the BU Design R&D team at an exciting time, focusing on exploring new interior design solutions. Together with colleagues across Europe, you will develop new ideas towards implementation and final products.
The Role
You will manage and implement new design innovation projects from ideation and concept phase through development, implementation, and final product launch. You will run projects based on our Innovation flow as a stage-gate model with five phases. Projects are evaluated by the Steering Committee and the Innovation Board during their lifecycle.
In every project, you will work with a team consisting of a product manager and specialists needed to make the project a success. The role includes significant cross-functional and international stakeholder management throughout Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Communications, Purchase, and collaboration across business units in Rockfon.
Responsibilities
Traveling 30-40 days a year, primarily across Europe, you will:
Manage projects according to the Rockfon Innovation flow.
Ensure relevant approvals and certificates for the projects, as well as health & safety checks for implementing all new products.
Screen and assess third-party suppliers.
Plan and execute pilot and production tests at Rockfon factories, third-party suppliers, and construction sites.
Ensure successful communication between development teams and all stakeholders.
Coordinate sustainable raw material developments with our materials specialist and external suppliers to integrate with Rockfon solutions.
We have a great onboarding program ready for you, where you will be introduced to all your stakeholders and our products, see the factories, visit key suppliers, and receive product and system training. You might even help mount a ceiling or go on the road with a sales colleague. Additionally, you will be given your first project early, allowing you to learn on the go.
Requirements
3+ years of project management experience running complex projects, ensuring you are up to date on the latest PM tools and methods – PMP or PRINCE2 certification would be a plus.
A technical background (min. B.Sc level), e.g., as a mechanical, chemical, or building engineer or similar education, enabling you to carry out technical dialogues with our specialists and in our factories. Technical interest and experience is a must.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Experience with innovation and R&D.
