As we continue to grow, our Grids & Accessories Business Unit in Wijnegem (Belgium) is looking for an Industrial Design Engineer to help shape the ceiling suspension systems of tomorrow.
Your Role
The proposed role of Industrial Design Engineer is for the Grids and Accessories Business Unit (based in Wijnegem, Belgium) , in reference to the Head of R&D and Product Management. You will be in charge of designing of various metallic suspension system, improving current ceiling system and preparing the design of the future solutions.
What will you do?
Lead and manage projects from early ideation to mass production.
Translate user needs into technically feasible and production-ready designs.
Prototype, test, and iterate your concepts together with internal and external stakeholders.
Select appropriate materials and processes, focusing on durability and circularity.
As A member of the R&D team you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to balance design, function, and cost.
Maintain and co-own all 2D and 3D product documentation with our Drawing Specialist.
What You Bring
A master’s degree in industrial design, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
At least 5-10 years of experience as an industrial design engineer or comparable, ideally with expertise in metal forming or roll forming processes.
A strong sense of industrial design, attention to detail, and high standards for quality.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D tools like SolidWorks, Composer, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent communication and visualization skills to clearly convey your design ideas.
A proactive, well-organized approach and solid command of English (Dutch is a plus).
