In the SailGP Sydney Race, which ended in early March, ROCKWOOL Group sponsored the Danish team to set sail. As the team participating in this international top sailing event for the first time, Denmark currently ranks sixth in the standings, with the British, Australian and Japanese teams currently in the top three.
Founded in 2018, the International Sailing Grand Prix (Sail GP) is a global annual sports league featuring courage, cutting-edge technology and an awe-inspiring competitive spirit. The F50 supercharged catamarans of the same specifications from various countries are competing at the speed of more than 50 knots (about 100 kilometers per hour) per hour on the sea surface.
Sailing is a sustainable competitive sport that encourages people to walk into the ocean, get close to nature, and feel the power and beauty of nature. This is highly consistent with the sustainable development concept pursued by the ROCKWOOL. Therefore, ROCKWOOL Group officially sponsored the Danish Sailing Team at the end of last year, and became the main partner of SailGP, bringing the Danish Sailing Team into the world stage.
