MEET HENRIK FRANK NIELSEN: OUR PURPOSE KEEPS ME MOTIVATED AFTER 25 YEARS AT ROCKWOOL

“I’ve been with ROCKWOOL for 25 years now. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of being involved in every single one of our businesses in some way or another. This gives me an exciting perspective on how we’ve developed, where we are now and an indication of what’s to come.

The purpose hit me during my first interview for ROCKWOOL. From that moment, I got addicted to stones and the potential of this natural raw material. Just consider this, Mother Earth produces 38.000 times more stone than we use in our annual production – every year! Today, everyone focuses on the importance of things being natural. Yet this is something that has always been at the core of our business, long before it was hip to focus on natural and abundant raw materials”.

After 25 years, ROCKWOOL’s purpose still helps keep Henrik Frank Nielsen  motivated.

“I celebrated 25 years at ROCKWOOL a little while ago. When you’ve been around for as long as I have, our purpose is ‘nothing new’. It’s been in our DNA forever. But for the last five years we have formulated our purpose in one sentence: Enriching modern living with the power of stone wool.  This makes it a lot easier to communicate and share our story with new audiences.”

He also has some career tip for employee and future employees at ROCKWOOL.

“The best thing I can recommend is to enjoy and make the most of the tasks and responsibilities that you have. Rather than always focusing on your next job, be present and make the most of what you’re doing right now. Stay curious to learn more, strive to raise the bar, and stay patient. Keep learning – all the time. As an ‘old timer’ at ROCKWOOL, I love the new ideas that come with new employees. It’s great to observe and learn from those around you; to get new perspectives and to make something great even better”.
