Introducing the 2021 #ROCKTheBoat Academy presented by Team ROCKWOOL Racing – a unique collaboration between ROCKWOOL and the Denmark SailGP Team to inspire Denmark’s future sailing stars!

Bringing together young competitive sailors up to the age of 21, the #ROCKTheBoat Academy is free of charge and will take place in Aarhus (22-25 July).

Want to join? It’s easy – just sign up, bring your boat, and join the Team ROCKWOOL Racing athletes for an unforgettable weekend of coaching.

This year the #ROCKTheBoat Academy welcomes sailors in 29ers & Waszp – but be quick! – we have limited spaces so we’re working on a first come, first served basis.

The #ROCKTheBoat Academy will include on-water coaching, inspirational talks, and an opportunity to connect with other talented young sailors from across Denmark. You’ll also get the chance to meet and learn from the Danish sailors currently competing on the supercharged F50 in the world’s fastest sailing racing league – SailGP.

Practical information

Does ROCKWOOL arrange accommodation?

No, accommodation and travel to the venue is the responsibility of the guest.

What about food?

ROCKWOOL will supply refreshments and snacks at the venue, plus a lunch on the full days.

How much does it cost to join the academy?

The #ROCKTheBoat Academy is free of charge.

Why are places limited?

We want to deliver a quality experience for our guests, which is why numbers are limited to 30 per camp. This is for both time and safety reasons. Guests will be selected on a first come, first served basis, upon fulfilment of the criteria and receipt of application.

Do I need to have sailing experience?

Yes, this isn’t a beginner camp. All guests must be self-sufficient and have competitive racing experience to join the camps.

I’m under 16, can my parents come along?

Parents are welcome at the venue but should be advised that the programme is extremely busy and it could be a long day. Our advice would be to drop off the guest and pick up at the end of the day.

I don’t have a boat/insurance for my boat, can I still join?

Unfortunately not, we require all guests to have their own boat and valid insurance to be able to join the #ROCKTheBoat Academy.
