ROCKWOOL Group has wholly acquired Chinese stone wool manufacturer Yangzhou KEWO Energy Conservation New Materials Co., Ltd. Located in Yizheng, Jiangsu Province in eastern China, KEWO’s current production capacity totals approx. 50,000 tons/year. The acquisition will significantly expand ROCKWOOL's production capacity in China and further promote the Group's sustained development in the Chinese market.
Established in 2011 and selected as one of China's Top 10 stone wool brands in 2017, KEWO boasts high-quality products, with its insulation being part of several landmark projects in recent years. With our extensive experience and technical expertise in stone wool production, we will launch a series of upgrades and equipment renovation projects to boost production efficiency and raise product quality still further.
Benefiting from policy initiatives and technological progress, China's thermal insulation industry is developing solidly. ROCKWOOL’s familiarity with the Chinese market as well as our complete business network covering all aspects of production, sales, marketing and technical service for stone wool products will ensure the company's continued growth in China. The acquisition will expand our production capacity, strengthen our coverage in eastern and northern China, and help optimise our operations regionally.
