Building tomorrow today

Sustainability at ROCKWOOL

While the stone we use may be millions of years old, what we do with it is cutting-edge. Every day, ROCKWOOL colleagues are developing and applying new technologies to release yet more potential of stone wool to enrich modern life.

How we enrich society

Our purpose is simple and compelling: to release the natural power of stone to enrich modern living. ROCKWOOL products save energy and water and reduce CO2 emissions, protect buildings from the spread of fire; reduce waste; improve acoustic comfort, building performance and aesthetics; and enhance Precision Growing, thereby improving the efficiency of fresh food production.

OEM reclaimed materials service

At ROCKWOOL our concern for the way in which we act with our local and global environment is a top priority. Across all markets we continue to promote the circularity of ROCKWOOL stone wool products. In North America we are able to offer our OEM customers with a material reclaim service that is cost efficient and reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill.

Any OEM customer wishing to participate in the ROCKWOOL Reclaimed Products program will be required to follow terms and conditions set forward in the ROCKWOOL recycling agreement.

All products returned to ROCKWOOL, may only contain non-contaminated ROCKWOOL insulation.

ROCKWOOL reserves the right to return shipments at the customer’s cost that:

  • does not comply with the requirements as described in this document
  • shows up unscheduled and unconfirmed or without a signed recycling agreement
