Project Overview

The Rolls-Royce Crosspointe facility in Virginia is a center of excellence for the manufacture of precision-engineered gas turbine engine components for some of the most advanced aircraft in the world. Crosspointe demonstrates the Rolls-Royce commitment to the region and their global aerospace customers.

Environmental Responsibility

Crosspointe’s new multi-plant facility is a Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) equivalent campus and incorporates several unique environmental features, such as rainwater and sunlight harvesting and automatic light sensing. It has a 100-per¬cent-recycling and zero-landfill target.

Why was ROCKWOOL® chosen for this project?

TOPROCK DD is a high-density stone wool commercial insulation boards for low slope roof applications. It is a non-combustible product that offers a long term stable R value, durability, is water repellent and is environmentally sustainable

Benefits:

ROCKWOOL offers a limited thermal warranty that guarantees 100% of the originally declared R-value on all of its commercial roofing insulation products for up to 30 years. When installed in accordance with ROCKWOOL instructions, ROCKWOOL maintains the originally declared R-value as published on the Technical Data Sheets for the extent of the warranty. ROCKWOOL products produced in our Grand Forks facility are currently under ICC-ES SAVE™ Certification review.
