What we promise our employees
Ever since we were founded more than 80 years ago, we have built our identity as an employer on strong values, skill and passion for what we do. You can be part of our journey going forward.
With a history going back over 80 years, our strong foundation enables us to offer a stable and well-organised work environment. Workplace health and safety are at the core of our business and are the first priority in everything we do. It is something that is a very high priority for everyone, from our management team to the employees working in our factories. With this commitment from the whole organisation, we ensure a safe and secure workplace for everyone.
We have built a diverse workforce – it gives us the dynamic of different perspectives and views. All our employees contribute to our business and to achieving our purpose in different ways every day. Here they share their view of what is required of them as employees at ROCKWOOL, what is most rewarding about working here and what opportunities they are offered.
ROCKWOOL was founded in 1937 and has a long and successful history – and we are proud of our heritage. Our founders laid the groundwork for the family-like and inclusive culture that we have today – a culture that promotes working together to overcome challenges and find opportunities. It has helped us become the world leaders in stone wool and shapes how we do business every day.
Our core values are the compass for how we act when collaborating with colleagues or in interactions with our customers. They also guide us when we recruit new employees – to set the right expectations and ensure a good match.
To ensure we stay competitive in all our regions, our compensation levels are benchmarked and aligned to market trends. In addition, we offer benefits in line with local practice in the countries we are operating in. We have established a link between the performance of our business and your individual performance. That means, you can see how you can contribute to our business results. This ensures our employees stay motivated and engaged, as well as encouraging them to strive to be better.
For us, learning and development is key to ensuring employees have the right competence and are motivated to perform. As we see it, most of your development takes place in your daily work – collaborating with others, gaining new experience and increasing your skills – and we make sure to provide you with the relevant tools to grow and expand in your role. In addition to that, we offer targeted learning and development opportunities to our employees.
The development of our leaders is also in focus and we just launched our own ROCKWOOL Leadership Programmes which a great number of our leaders will participate in. The ROCKWOOL Leadership Programmes cover all leaders from our factory-based supervisors to our senior management teams.
