May 6, 2026

ROCKWOOL A/S has signed an agreement to acquire Ravago’s stone wool factory in Hungary, strengthening ROCKWOOL’s manufacturing footprint in Central and Eastern Europe.

The transaction supports ROCKWOOL’s long-term priority to meet demand for our stone wool insulation products in the region. The Hungarian factory will be well positioned to serve customers in the growing Romanian market as well as the Hungarian domestic market.

“Our activities in Eastern Europe have been strong. With this acquisition, we will be further strengthening our ability to serve the regional market. We look forward to working closely with Ravago to ensure a smooth transition and to welcoming new colleagues, customers and suppliers to ROCKWOOL Group”, says Jes Munk Hansen, CEO of ROCKWOOL.

With an annual production capacity of 40,000 tonnes of stone wool, the factory employs more than 100 people.

Completion of the transaction is expected in Q4 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including relevant regulatory approvals. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. The transaction does not affect ROCKWOOL’s financial guidance for 2026.
