The acquisition will prepare the Group for future growth and accommodate the growing demand for fire safe stone wool solutions on the Swedish market. This follows the ROCKWOOL Group’s announcement in February this year regarding expansion plans in the United States, Romania and Sweden.
"At the ROCKWOOL Group, we have 80 years’ experience producing non-combustible stone wool, which is the material on which all our solutions are based. With this land acquisition, we will ensure that we can continue to accommodate the Swedish market's growing demand for quality stone wool solutions", says Senior Vice President of the ROCKWOOL Group, Henrik Frank Nielsen.
The investment has been warmly welcomed in Eskilstuna. "We expect this investment to have a positive effect on the local area in the form of future local jobs, which we are ready to fill", says David Hofmann, CEO of Eskilstuna Logistics and Establishment.
Solid growth and big potential on the Swedish market paves the way for investment
The ROCKWOOL Group is experiencing increased demand for stone wool solutions in the Swedish market, where construction is developing at a rapid pace. The Swedish sales office currently supplies its customers with solutions produced at factories in Denmark and Norway.
