The Jingjiang Kaifei Aviation Structural Parts Manufacturing Joint Venture Project, with a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan, is COMAC’s first investment in Jiangsu. It brings together the professional advantages of COMAC, GKN Aerospace, and AVIC International in the fields of aviation design and manufacturing, lean management, and supply chain integration services, aiming to create a world-class civil aircraft parts manufacturer integrating design, R&D, manufacturing, and supply.
Located in the Jingjiang Aviation Manufacturing Industrial Park, the Kaifei Aviation Manufacturing Project mainly produces domestic ARJ21 and C919 horizontal stabilizers, as well as related horizontal stabilizers, spoilers, and fairings for foreign civil aircraft. ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation is applied to the 70,000 square meter roofing of the Kaifei Aviation Manufacturing Plant.
