ROCKWOOL shortlisted for two Made in Wales Awards

October 17, 2025

Our customers expect more than just products – they expect resilient supply chain partners making real progress on sustainability targets. That’s why we’re honoured to be shortlisted in the 2025 Made in Wales Awards for our efforts in decarbonisation, upskilling the construction industry and our team, and building resilience into our operations.

ROCKWOOL Limited has been recognised in two categories of this year’s awards, with a shortlist in Manufacturer of the Year (over £25 million) and Manufacturing Future Talent Award. These nominations reflect some of the important steps forward we’ve taken over the past year at both our Bridgend manufacturing site and across the UK more broadly.

Investing in people and production

At our Bridgend site, we’ve continued to invest in people and production. In particular, we’ve boosted our talent pipeline with a new undergraduate placement programme and 12 apprentices, all of whom are making fundamental contributions and building future skills for our business and community.

Raising industry standards

Beyond Wales, we’ve also made two significant step changes for our business: the opening of a global fire-stopping centre of excellence and, looking ahead, a proposed second manufacturing facility in the West Midlands. Both will expand our supply, raise industry standards, and deliver long-term economic and environmental benefits.

These achievements demonstrate that we’re not just keeping pace with market expectations, but from our roots in South Wales, are setting the direction for a safer, more sustainable and highly skilled construction industry.

The winners of the Made In Wales Awards will be announced on Thursday 23rd October 2025.
