Too low ambitions for new EU directive: Half-hearted efforts for an energy-efficient Europe
Europe is in dire need of curbing expensive energy imports, of cutting CO2 emissions and of creating clean-tech jobs. Thorough energy modernisations of public buildings will be doubled with the new Energy Efficiency framework Directive, put forward today by the European Commission. Yet the EU will still fail to harvest the majority of potential cuts in our energy bills, regrets the Rockwool Group.
