Rockwool Award to qualify the climate debate

The Danish Rockwool Award 2009 goes to one of the most advanced thinkers in environmental sustainability in the design of cities and buildings as well as industrial processes: author, architect and designer William McDonough. He is known in particular for the Cradle to Cradle environmental concept. Cradle to Cradle has been called the foundation of the next industrial revolution and has, particularly in recent years, generated enthusiasm all over the world.

Rockwool insulation for BSkyB

The Rockwool Group's UK company has won the contract to supply around £600,000 of insulation materials for BSkyB’s new state-of-the-art building project near Heathrow in West London, which it is set to be Europe’s most sustainable broadcast facility for Sky Sports and Sky’s entertainment channels.

Dutch Rockwool company dedicates itself to low-energy buildings

On 5th February 2009 eleven leading organisations in the Netherlands – including Rockwool Benelux BV – founded the Koplopers PeGO Innovatie Platform, ‘leaders in energy efficient buildings’. Since insulation is the basis for energy savings in buildings, the Dutch Rockwool company takes an active approach in this partnership.
