ROCKWOOL ROXUL Safe® 55 & 65

ROXUL Safe® 55 & 65 are medium-density insulation products designed for exterior and interior non-load-bearing, steel-faced firewall applications where a fire resistance of at least one hour is required. ROXUL Safe® 65 holds a fire-resistance rating of one hour, while ROXUL Safe® 55 holds a fire-resistance rating of two hours—both from the interior side.

ROXUL SAFE™ 55 & 65 are medium-density insulation products designed for exterior and interior non-load-bearing, steel-faced firewall applications where a fire resistance of at least one hour is required

ROXUL Safe® 65 holds a fire-resistance rating of one hour, while ROXUL Safe® 55 holds a fire-resistance rating of two hours—both from the interior side. Both products allow builders to reduce the required separation between buildings and increase the area of buildings in close proximity to each other. 

Properties:

  • Lightweight
  • Easy to install insulation and construct firewall design
  • Fire-resistance at zero lot line clearance
  • Non-combustible with melting point of approximately 1177°C (2150°F)
  • Dimensionally stable
  • Performs over wide temperature ranges
  • Energy-saving performance: both ROXUL SAFE™ 65 and ROXUL SAFE® 55 have an R-value of 4.2 hr.ft2.F/Btu per inch at 75ºF
  • Non-corrosive
  • Does not rot or promote the growth of mildew, fungi or bacteria
  • ROCKWOOL® can contribute to earning LEED® points
