Product description

This product will enter its phase-out period on 31 March 2026 and will be fully discontinued as of 1st June 2026. A water based, ready to use viscous paste which may be brush or spray applied to stone wool slabs. The coating is supplied in white and is used in conjunction with the Ablative Coated batt to enhance fire performance. It can also be used in additional fire stopping applications such as linear joint seals to provide an effective seal to inhibit the passage of smoke.

Suitable for spray or brush application.
Provides a stable surface for adhesive and fixing.

Areas of application

The Ablative Liquid is available separately to enable site repairs to FirePro Ablative Coated Batt, that may have been damaged during installation.

Product Discontinuation notice 2nd March 2026

Effective 31 March 2026, we will be phasing out the following products from our FirePro range, and discontinuing them by 1 June 2026. Routine production and sourcing of these products will cease and only the alternative products will be available after this date. To ensure a smooth transition, both 50mm Ablative Coated Batt and its accessory products will continue to be available during the changeover. We’ll be fulfilling existing orders and supporting ongoing projects until stock is depleted.

Technical Statement: FirePro® CB50 Coated Batt Interchangeability Programme 2nd March 2026

As part of the rollout of the new FirePro® fire-stopping range, ROCKWOOL has partnered with UL, to validate the interchangeability of the new products. This programme confirms that the FirePro CB50 may be used as a direct substitute for the outgoing 50 mm Ablative Coated Batt.
