The categories listed below provide an overview of opportunities for local businesses to support our day-to-day operations. Depending on the service, ROCKWOOL may be looking for full-time vendors or seasonal vendors that are assigned contracts for specific times of the year.
Catering & food services
Catering services are needed to supply food for small groups, large meetings, and employee events, and the contractors we work with must be able to provide and maintain their own supplies and equipment.
Cleaning services
Industrial cleaning services with a flexible schedule are needed to help maintain our manufacturing facility to keep it working at its best including cleaning the floors, warehouse, front office, and the lunchroom.
Contract Warehousing
Fulfilling customer orders may require the use of full-service contract warehousing. ROCKWOOL partners with experienced, safe, and flexible 3pl providers.
Engineering services
Manufacturing facilities need to be running at optimal performance and that means leaning on engineering services to help improve productivity and efficiency through recommendations on new technologies and processes. We are selective in working with organizations that have experience in industrial methods of production and product quality assurance, with an ability to track and measure the impact of their projects.
Environmental testing services
Managing regulatory obligations is an important part of our operations. We work with suppliers that are experienced in providing tailored solutions that safeguard our operations, control costs and mitigate risks, and that are able to understand the current regulatory landscape and anticipate change so that we can be proactive in our response.
Fabrication and machining
Running manufacturing facilities like ours means that from time to time we have a need for specialized castings, equipment, and welding services - large and small. We're looking for contractor partners that are well versed and have extensive knowledge in all methods of current industry fabrication and machining standards.
Maintenance and trades services
We are looking for support with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interior repairs, and other building and site operation services. The emphasis is on increasing machine availability and minimizing the total cost of ownership through an approach that prioritizes preventative maintenance but also accounts for emergency service needs.
Pest control
Bugs and pests have no place on our sites and can cause havoc if left untreated, so we’re in the market for an experienced and knowledgeable team to maintain a zero-tolerance pest control standard.
Property maintenance (i.e. landscaping and snow removal)
Yearround property maintenance is critical to keeping up the condition of our facilities. During the warm months, we are looking for full-service industrial landscaping services including mowing & trimming, lawn and bed clean-up, and shrub bed maintenance to keep our facility warm and welcoming. For our facilities that deal with the winter, finding a local snow removal and ice control service that’s available 24/7 for our driveway and parking areas is a priority to ensuring the safety of our employees and visitors.
Safety supplies and equipment
We take tremendous pride in our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) program to deliver comfort and enhance productivity for our employees while ensuring full compliance with safety regulations. We work with our suppliers to identify the right products and training needed for each task to reduce workplace hazards.
Security services
Manufacturing facility security is an essential part of our operation and we're looking for a trained and experienced team that can provide proactive solutions the safeguard employees and visitors alike, any time of day or night.
Third-party logistics (3PL)
Reliable transportation is a cornerstone for our business operations, so we need suppliers with well-maintained fleets and a record of on-time delivery to form a true partner in logistics. Freight includes, but is not limited to, finished products being delivered to ROCKWOOL customers throughout the United States.
Waste removal
Regular and ongoing waste removal and recycling services are fundamental to our operations and we’re seeking reliable partners that understand manufacturing sites, offering service schedules and frequencies that meet our needs and budget.
