This is the role
Integration Services Department focuses on systems integration within the entire Rockwool Group. Delivering, maintaining and governing internal and external integration services on modern, flexible technologies and platforms. In this position you will:
Work closely with Integration Project Teams to define the best integration solutions to meet business, functional and data requirements
Act as a lead KAFKA expert to design data integration patterns and solutions (Data Streaming) to ensure successful product implementations
Configure complex data imports and process configurations across multiple upstream and downstream systems within the business
Define logical sequence of integration activities to ensure success delivery
Create technology solutions to support critical business application to high levels of availability, stability, and performance
Develop, deliver and support critical data integration capabilities for the enterprise using Agile methodologies
Provide oversight and guidance during design, configure, and test phases
Coordinate with technical architects, product managers, product owners, application developers, business users to ensure that required features and modifications within releases have effective data integration solutions implemented
Provide analysis and design reviews to other departments to avoid duplication of effort in solving similar application requirements and issues with other products
Work with product development teams, architects and senior designers to develop and document concise architectural requirements
Work with technology and business stakeholders to achieve successful implementation
Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating emerging cutting-edge data integration capabilities into company products
Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel in Kafka
Contribute to the creation of required system documentation in compliance with departmental standards
Assist in designing and work in developing, testing and implementing new/modifications to the existing integrated or disintegrated enterprise systems using EiPaaS (Informatica/Boomi)
Attend code reviews to assure compliance
Proactively clarify work instructions or analyse issues
Performs migrations and upgrades
Provide production support as needed

This is what you offer
Five or more years of relevant architecting, engineering or software development experience using KAFKA (Apache Kafka or Confluent Kafka)
Experience working with containers (Docker or similar container runtime engines) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift or similar)
In-depth knowledge of integration concept
Working and proven experience with EiPaaS such as Boomi or Informatica Cloud is a plus
Proven experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
Familiar with web services technologies:
SOAP
RESTful API
WSDL
SOA
Understand textual data interchange:
XML
JSON
Ability to work with an Agile (i.e Scrum) team
Good communication skills
Fluently communicating in English (verbally and writing)
Eager to learn fast
Open mind and positive can-do attitude
Initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
Willing to travel
