ROCKWOOL is a global organization with offices worldwide. In North America, our corporate headquarters are located in Milton, Ontario. This location is where many of the North American leadership functions and departments support our business in the region.

Manufacturing Facilities

ROCKWOOL is the world’s leading manufacturer of environmentally friendly stone wool insulation. Founded as a family business more than 80 years ago, we have grown to operate 45 manufacturing facilities globally. Our strong and growing presence in North America includes manufacturing sites in Marshall County, Mississippi as well as Milton, Ontario and Grand Forks, British Columbia. We plan to open our newest facility in Jefferson County, West Virginia in the fall of 2020.

ROCKWOOL offers manufacturing opportunities in four departments:

  • Operations: transform the stone and other raw materials into quality products. 
  • Engineering: functions as the key technology provider to our production facilities. 
  • Maintenance and tradespeople: provide maintenance services for company equipment and buildings to pursue plant improvements and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Supervisors: manage the plant and personnel to achieve objectives in terms of safety, quality, quantity, cost, efficiency, environment, and customer service.

Milton, Ontario

ROCKWOOL International entered the North American market for the first time in 1988. Milton is where you will find the group's first factory in the region and serves as the location for ROCKWOOL's head office for North American operations.

Recruitment Coordinator (head office)

In this role, you will report to the North American Recruitment Specialist and be responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment processes, including but not limited to, posting vacancies, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews and conducting phone screens. You will ensure HR consistently delivers high-quality candidates to the business with a positive experience for hiring manager and candidate. You will also be responsible for supporting and strengthening our end-to-end recruitment process; driving a customer-service focused recruitment process for hiring managers and candidates.

Account Development Representative (head office)

In this role, you will report to the North American Sales Force Effectiveness Manager. The position is responsible for developing, identifying and securing relevant sales opportunities. You will drive meaningful sales through the management of small- to mid-sized customers including new and existing clients. You will use communication platforms including phone, video conferencing, social media and online meetings to build relationships and work with field sales to serve the full customer portfolio.

Project Engineer (manufacturing plant)

In this role, you will report to the Primary Machine Operator (PMO) Manager at the manufacturing plant in Milton. It is the responsibility of the Project Engineer to manage the implementation of assigned capital related to the Factory facility needs. This will include work with external vendors as well as ROCKWOOL Group Technology and the existing and expanding operations team.

Regional Sales Manager

In this role, you will report to the Canadian Sales Director, and be responsible for ensuring the sale/specification of Rockwool Technical Insulation products through established ownership, contractor and distribution channels in keeping with the company’s sales and marketing policies. You will manage the Eastern Canadian sales region (Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic) and defined plans to contribute to the RTI North American strategy. The Regional Sales Manager will maintain relations with internal and external contacts.

Mechanical Supervisor (manufacturing plant)

In this role, you are responsible for effectively planning and organizing the workload of the mechanical maintenance personnel, resolving any mechanical problems with a view to maximizing equipment availability time, and working within health and safety standards. You will oversee all activities and purchases pertaining to mechanical maintenance projects.

In this role, you are responsible for providing architects, designers, and specifiers with the expertise, tools, and services in building science to unlock the energy saving potential of their building without compromising their designs. You will support the development of a fundamental understanding of building science within ROCKWOOL Business Development and the sales organizations, providing direction, training, and counseling to stakeholders.

Grand Forks, British Columbia

ROCKWOOL's western facility in Grand Forks, BC has been in operation since November 1999. This facility was the first expansion for ROCKWOOL within North America. The Grand Forks facility operates to meet the needs of North America's western regions.

Process Engineer

The main purpose of this job is to pursue capacity and efficiency improvements together with cost reductions whilst providing leadership and technical expertise to the factory via effective contributions to the development and analyses of new processes and the continual improvement of current processes which contribute to effective and efficient production. This includes quality and environmental systems at the site thereby ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction is achieved.

Marshall County, Mississippi

ROCKWOOL's first expansion into the USA with its first US facility. In the spring of 2014, a new 600,000 sq. ft. facility opened in Marshall County, Mississippi; approximately 30 miles south of Memphis. This facility facilitates the growing demand for ROCKWOOL product in the US.

Production Supervisor

In this role, you will report directly to the Production Manager and is based out of the Factory in Byhalia, MS. It is the responsibility of the Production Supervisor to ensure production is conducted as planned and according to agreed budgets, company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable legislative rules and regulations.

Production Engineer

In this role, you will focus on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the Rockfon ceiling tile manufacturing line by pursuing new technological ideas, equipment, and continuous process improvements. You will plan and develop projects surrounding process improvements, provide training to factory personnel, creation of work instructions and safe work procedures, and assist the factory on troubleshooting process issues.

Jefferson County, West Virginia

With a targeted start-up during the fall of 2020, the City of Ranson represents ROCKWOOL's second stone wool insulation manufacturing plant in the United States.

In this role, you are responsible for health and safety, environmental, and quality standards on site and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and company policies. You will also drive sustainability goal setting, establish and maintain quality systems for the facility, and play an instrumental role in the start-up activities associated with the new factory including the development of safety practices.
