ROCKWOOL is a global organization with offices worldwide. In North America, our corporate headquarters are located in Milton, Ontario. This location is where many of the North American leadership functions and departments support our business in the region.

Manufacturing Facilities

ROCKWOOL is the world’s leading manufacturer of environmentally friendly stone wool insulation. Founded as a family business more than 80 years ago, we have grown to operate 45 manufacturing facilities globally. Our strong and growing presence in North America includes manufacturing sites in Marshall County, Mississippi as well as Milton, Ontario and Grand Forks, British Columbia. We plan to open our newest facility in Jefferson County, West Virginia in the fall of 2020.

ROCKWOOL offers manufacturing opportunities in four departments:

  • Operations: transform the stone and other raw materials into quality products. 
  • Engineering: functions as the key technology provider to our production facilities. 
  • Maintenance and tradespeople: provide maintenance services for company equipment and buildings to pursue plant improvements and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Supervisors: manage the plant and personnel to achieve objectives in terms of safety, quality, quantity, cost, efficiency, environment, and customer service.

Architectural Solutions Specialist (head office)

In this role, you will identify new opportunities, generate leads, and nurture existing relationships with ROCKWOOL’s architectural customer network. The right candidate must be comfortable handling data analysis, demonstrate a basic understanding of architectural and construction specifications, and exercise proficient computer skills. Completion of CSC – Principles of Construction course is required within the first year of employment.

Director of Logistics (head office)

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of distribution and transportation of finished product, with the objective to direct and manage the strategic development and execution of logistics across the North American network and organization. Leading a team of four direct and 100+ indirect reports, and reporting directly to the Vice President Supply Chain, he/she is responsible for leading the Logistics team in developing, planning and executing logistics strategies that will deliver year-over-year cost savings and provide superior service, while supporting growth initiatives and exceeding customer expectations through best in class logistics solutions.

Director, Integrated Supply Chain Planning (head office)

In this role you will have North American responsibility for all aspects of integrated supply chain planning including demand, supply, scheduling, and deployment. Leading a team of 7 and reporting to the Vice President, Supply Chain, he/she is responsible for leading the transformation of the supply chain planning function, ensuring the effective utilization of production capacity.

Regional Sales Manager

In this role, you will report to the Canadian Sales Director, and be responsible for ensuring the sale/specification of Rockwool Technical Insulation products through established ownership, contractor and distribution channels in keeping with the company’s sales and marketing policies. You will manage the Eastern Canadian sales region (Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic) and defined plans to contribute to the RTI North American strategy. The Regional Sales Manager will maintain relations with internal and external contacts.

Building Science Specialist (head office)

In this role, you are responsible for providing architects, designers, and specifiers with the expertise, tools, and services in building science to unlock the energy saving potential of their building without compromising their designs. You will support the development of a fundamental understanding of building science within ROCKWOOL Business Development and the sales organizations, providing direction, training, and counseling to stakeholders.

Project Engineer (manufacturing plant)

In this role, you will report to the Primary Machine Operator (PMO) Manager at the manufacturing plant in Milton. It is the responsibility of the Project Engineer to manage the implementation of assigned capital related to the Factory facility needs. This will include work with external vendors as well as ROCKWOOL Group Technology and the existing and expanding operations team.

In this role, you will pursue capacity and efficiency improvements together with cost reductions whilst providing leadership and technical expertise to the factory via effective contributions to the development and analyses of new processes and the continual improvement of current processes which contribute to effective and efficient production. Production Manager

In this role, you will ensure that production is conducted as planned and according to agreed budgets, company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable legislative rules and regulations. As a member of the management team at the Byhalia factory, the Manager is responsible for the overall development and continuous improvement of the factory operations. You will report to the Director of Operations and have Production Supervisor and Process Engineer direct reports.

Distribution Manager

In this role, you will report the Senior Distribution Centre Manager and are responsible for managing a team of hourly employees within the Shipping Department. You will coordinate daily assignments, tasks and requests in the fulfillment of internal and external customer orders through an efficient, timely, and cost-effective process while always seeking to improve upon the already established process. You will manage these activities across three current locations that are within a few miles of each other. You will partner with other departments such as Customer Service, Quality assurance, Specialty, Maintenance, and Production to understand their needs and aid as needed.

Process Technician

In this role, you will be expected to provide technical expertise to the value stream and maintenance of areas including curing, packaging and logistics, among others. You will coordinate tasks that require continuous improvement and project management skills, and automation programming. You will be instrumental in the planning and develop projects encompassing process improvements, provide training to factory personnel, create work instructions and safe work procedures, and assist the factory on troubleshooting process issues.
