ROCKWOOL is a global organization with offices worldwide. In North America, our corporate headquarters are located in Milton, Ontario. This location is where many of the North American leadership functions and departments support our business in the region.

Manufacturing Facilities

ROCKWOOL is the world’s leading manufacturer of environmentally friendly stone wool insulation. Founded as a family business more than 80 years ago, we have grown to operate 45 manufacturing facilities globally. Our strong and growing presence in North America includes manufacturing sites in Marshall County, Mississippi as well as Milton, Ontario and Grand Forks, British Columbia. We plan to open our newest facility in Jefferson County, West Virginia in the fall of 2020.

ROCKWOOL offers manufacturing opportunities in four departments:

  • Operations: transform the stone and other raw materials into quality products. 
  • Engineering: functions as the key technology provider to our production facilities. 
  • Maintenance and tradespeople: provide maintenance services for company equipment and buildings to pursue plant improvements and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Supervisors: manage the plant and personnel to achieve objectives in terms of safety, quality, quantity, cost, efficiency, environment, and customer service.

Territory Manager (Calgary)

In this role, you will drive the achievement of retail POS goals for the assigned market and be responsible for the execution of field sales and marketing plans. You will conduct in-store product demonstrations and be responsible for the education of retail store management, staff, contractors and the general public about ROCKWOOL products. You will develop and sustain strong business relationships with key decision-makers in your territory and identify opportunities for growth.

Technical Product Specialist (head office)

In this role, you will provide product and application knowledge to facilitate the use of ROCKWOOL products as well as executing projects within ROCKWOOL’s Technical Innovation Project Portfolio. You will be responsible for delivering technical product and application support to ROCKWOOL customers which include Architects, Engineers, Distributors, and Contractors. You will also design and execute research and testing programs to drive business development.

Architectural Solutions Specialist (head office)

In this role, you will identify new opportunities, generate leads, and nurture existing relationships with ROCKWOOL’s architectural customer network. The right candidate must be comfortable handling data analysis, demonstrate a basic understanding of architectural and construction specifications, and exercise proficient computer skills. Completion of CSC – Principles of Construction course is required within the first year of employment.

Director of Logistics (head office)

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of distribution and transportation of finished product, with the objective to direct and manage the strategic development and execution of logistics across the North American network and organization. Leading a team of four direct and 100+ indirect reports, and reporting directly to the Vice President Supply Chain, he/she is responsible for leading the Logistics team in developing, planning and executing logistics strategies that will deliver year-over-year cost savings and provide superior service, while supporting growth initiatives and exceeding customer expectations through best in class logistics solutions.

Director, Integrated Supply Chain Planning (head office)

In this role you will have North American responsibility for all aspects of integrated supply chain planning including demand, supply, scheduling, and deployment. Leading a team of 7 and reporting to the Vice President, Supply Chain, he/she is responsible for leading the transformation of the supply chain planning function, ensuring the effective utilization of production capacity.

Regional Sales Manager

In this role, you will report to the Canadian Sales Director, and be responsible for ensuring the sale/specification of Rockwool Technical Insulation products through established ownership, contractor and distribution channels in keeping with the company’s sales and marketing policies. You will manage the Eastern Canadian sales region (Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic) and defined plans to contribute to the RTI North American strategy. The Regional Sales Manager will maintain relations with internal and external contacts.

Process Engineer

In this role, you will pursue capacity and efficiency improvements together with cost reductions whilst providing leadership and technical expertise to the factory via effective contributions to the development and analyses of new processes and the continual improvement of current processes which contribute to effective and efficient production. In this role, you will report to the Production Supervisor. You will be responsible for operating equipment in an effective and efficient manner according to company standards, specifications and policies to produce quality mineral fiber ceiling tile products within the company’s parameters of quality, material efficiency, and time efficiency. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring production is conducted as planned and according to agreed budgets, company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable legislative rules and regulations. You will supervise a team - driving efficiencies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) while ensuring machinery and equipment are operating in a safe and reliable manner. You are responsible for the quality of the products produced as well as delivery time and cost.

Maintenance Electrician

In this role you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor, supporting the department's goal of less than one percent electrical downtime. You will maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace without jeopardizing product quality or the environment. The work takes place mainly while the plant is in production but will also include maintenance and equipment modification during downtimes. While solving machine-related problems, you will ensure it is done within the guidelines of the OSHA Standards. The Supervisor may add different tasks each day at his/her discretion.

In this role, you will support the Electrical Maintenance Department to service all company equipment and buildings within budgeted costs, to pursue plant improvements, and to drive cost-effectiveness. The goal of the department is to achieve less than one percent electrical downtime. Production Line Operator

In this role, you will report to the Production Supervisor at our manufacturing facility in Byhalia, MS. The Production Line Operator operates equipment per company standards, specifications and policies to produce high-quality mineral fiber ceiling tile products. The position also requires product quality inspections while focusing on material and time efficiency.

Integrated Services

In this role, you are responsible for specific cleaning and maintenance tasks of the production equipment. This position was created to enable the factory to have trained employees who provide efficient and proficient cleaning while working under minimal supervision. Due to the nature of this position, many of the tasks involved can only be completed when the production line is down. As a result, this position will involve varying weekly schedules based on production schedules.

Production Manager

In this role, you will ensure that production is conducted as planned and according to agreed budgets, company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable legislative rules and regulations. As a member of the management team at the Byhalia factory, the Manager is responsible for the overall development and continuous improvement of the factory operations. You will report to the Director of Operations and have Production Supervisor and Process Engineer direct reports.
