The Rockwool Group organised several events during the COP15 UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen in order to raise the awareness of the huge energy savings potential in buildings. Although we had hoped for a more ambitious climate agreement, we are satisfied with the massive international media attention on the need for better energy efficiency in buildings.

Buildings can deliver large cost-efficient CO2 reductions, says the International Energy Agency, referring to the latest analysis presented today at the COP15 climate summit in Copenhagen.

Pick the low hanging fruits. Fears intensify that the G8 summit discussions about climate change and the current financial crisis will end fruitlessly. Rockwool Award to qualify the climate debate

The Danish Rockwool Award 2009 goes to one of the most advanced thinkers in environmental sustainability in the design of cities and buildings as well as industrial processes: author, architect and designer William McDonough. He is known in particular for the Cradle to Cradle environmental concept.
