“I think it’s vital for my work to have meaning - that what I spend my time on every single day is also important to the society I am part of. It’s really satisfying to be involved in creating products that are helping to reduce overall CO2 emissions. I am proud to work for a company that dares to do something about a serious global problem.”
“In my work as a sales coordinator I am involved in many different processes. I am responsible for forwarding a proportion of e-trade orders via both EDI and the e-shop, and I help our customers if they have any problems with e-trade. In addition, I work on exports to Singapore and Korea, as well as customer service for our domestic market; and then I also produce statistics to enable us to optimise our business on an ongoing basis.
Lots of customer contact and a good atmosphere
“I have lots of customer contact and the freedom to formulate my own work tasks. And if I and my colleagues realise that input is needed somewhere, it is often possible to get ideas from life, something that I value highly. For example, I have just run a major customer satisfaction survey online. In addition, it’s lovely to find out what colleagues in other departments are doing. When I recently attended our Supply Chain Academy, I was able to expand my network and learn an awful lot about Rockwool’s mode of doing business. It was great to chat to people whom I would otherwise never have met.” “Rockwool is a really good, solid workplace, not least because we have the perfect blend of people who have been here for ages and a few new ones. This produces a good dynamic, an open, non-judgemental tone – and a really good atmosphere in the office. Personally, I think it’s exciting to help big customers get started with a formalised e-trade partnership, but there are so many opportunities at Rockwool, I might end up doing something completely different somewhere else within the organisation. Who knows?”
