- Naveen, project leader

“Being part of an international and dynamic working environment with many possibilities for career advancement was a temptation I couldn’t resist, which is why I transferred from a Rockwool subsidiary in Malaysia to Hedehusene last year. I have a background in the cement manufacturing and cigarette manufacturing industry, but Rockwool’s project-oriented way of working simply matches my demands for a challenging and meaningful job better. I know this may sound a bit over the top, but working at the Rockwool headquarters and moving to the other side of the world is probably not only the best career move I ever made, but one of the most exciting ones of my life.”

Incorporating Group expertise in technical solutions

“I work closely together with our subsidiaries to secure that Group expertise is incorporated in our technical solutions to obtain the lowest possible production cost and the highest level of quality. I’m responsible for controlling and securing that we make our deadlines and stay within the agreed-upon budget, and it’s also my job to ensure that we deliver all necessary documentation, accurate and up to date. Another part of my workday consists in following up on the performance of the supplied equipment, and finally I’m in charge of adjusting the individual project plans and communicating changes to the relevant stakeholders.”

“Because I’m in touch with many of our different operating companies all over the world, I get to experience all kinds of different cultures and ways of working, and that is truly one of the great advantages of being employed here. Another one is the Rockwool University, where I can take courses that strengthen my soft and technical skills. All in all, the general high level of activity appeals to me, and I think it’s great that we’re allowed so much independence and freedom in both work and decision-making. To tell you the truth, I think all engineers look for that in their employer.”
