“I applied to the Rockwool Group because I found their traineeships very attractive, but I’ve always wanted to work in an international company where I would be surrounded by skilled colleagues and sparring partners. The Rockwool Group's impact on climate and environment was another extremely important factor in persuading me to submit my application. After starting as a trainee, during which I worked in four different departments, I have now found my niche in the Marketing and Control department, where I can look forward to a lot of personal and professional development.”
Financial management and a managerial sparring partner
"I develop my own work areas and responsibilities in conjunction with my manager, and this really helps to create an exciting, challenging job. My primary areas of responsibility involve producing our annual budget and breaking it down into shorter periods, monthly sales reporting, cost-efficiency and results, and developing various financial management systems. I am currently developing a new budgeting model, and I’m constantly working on plans, budgets and results analyses. There’s plenty to do, but I can handle it, and it’s great to know that my workplace rewards professional dedication with constant personal development.”
“In addition to being professionally stimulated and having opportunities such as further education, job rotation and secondment, getting on well with my colleagues is also important to me. It’s brilliant that we do so much together out of working hours. For example, on the last Friday of every month we have a ‘Friday bar’; our art and sports club organises loads of exciting events; and I couldn’t do without our massage and fitness scheme.”
