Thermographic photography

A thermographic camera is a tool for testing how well insulated a building is. It measures the infrared radiation that the surface of an object produces; the warmer an object the more radiation it will generate. This technique can be used to see exactly how much heat a building is losing.

A well-insulated building will appear blue and green on the thermographic picture

Problem areas will appear as red or yellow, depending on the surface temperature. A thermographic inspection of your building is best during winter months, where you have the biggest difference between inside and outside temperatures.

How do you get thermographic images of your house?

Through thermographic images, you get a clear picture of where you can add insulation to lower your energy usage. Specialised companies can inspect your house. Your local Rockwool company can guide you how to find a specialist offering thermography.
