This is the role

As Area Marketing Manager, you are responsible for all marketing activities in Europe and Export areas by defining, prioritizing and implementing global and regional marketing plans.  You are committed to serve our customers at a high level and anticipate their need. To contribute to the fulfillment of the marketing plans and the financial goals of ROCKWOOL TECHNICAL INSULATION, the Area Marketing Manager manages the local marketing budget, proposes and rolls out marketing plans and carries responsibility for managing marketing communication projects. Proposing and realizing full marketing plans include all elements of the marketing mix. By ensuring quality and relevance of communication you drive customer relations. You organize and attend trade shows and seminars and are a strong relation builder. On top of this your skills will bring the digital strategy of the organization to the next level.

The Area Marketing Manager reports to the Director Business Development & Marketing. You are part of the global Business Development & Marketing department where you work closely together with colleagues from Communications, Product Management and Business Development. In the role you ensure that marketing plans are aligned with the regional Business Unit Director and Management. In the role you also contribute to the long term plans of Global Business Development & Marketing Team and the local Business Units.

This is what you offer

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Marketing and/or similar higher vocational education;
  • 10 + years’ experience in a marketing role within Construction or B2B Marketing;
  • Proven technical affinity;
  • Solid knowledge in digital marketing;
  • Customer and results driven with a get things done mentality;
  • Organizational sensitivity with the ability to convince and motivate people;
  • Effective communication and presentation skills;
  • A hands on mentality combined with strategic skills;
  • Self-starter and a team player, able to work in an international environment;
  • Fluent in English language;
  • You live within one hour travel time from Roermond;
  • Willing to travel (at least 20%)
